RAAHGIRI TAKES A BREAK:
As they bid adieu to the last session of this season's Raahgiri, supported by the Times of India, regulars got sentimental about their Sunday morning ritual. It's going to be a long wait till Raahgiri Day returns in September, said Raahgirs.
`WAIT KARNA PADEGA ': Not many knew that it was the last Raahgiri Day of the season and so, when the emcee announced it, the disappointment was evident. “It's sad. We love this stage, especially because of the activities and groups that perform here,“ said Anshika Shar ma, a resident of Geeta Colony . Ru mil Maheshwari, who wasn't aware that it was the last ses sion of this season, told us, “I didn't know this was the last Raahgiri for the season. I come here every Sunday with my friends. But ab wait karna pade ga.“ Naresh Ku mar Kesar, a res ident of Rajouri Garden, added, “This is a really good initiative. Aaj ki gen eration jaldi toh uthti nahin, but yeh sab activities ki wajah se at least subah uth jaati hai. I think Raahgiri should happen in all parts of the country.“
`WILL MISS THE ENERGETIC CROWD': Trainers, dancers and participants also thanked Raahgirs and TOI for support as the activities on the stage began with MERI College's dance fitness performance, followed by a dance workout by the FITCO group. Neetu Chawla, a member of the group, said, “I've been coming here for the last one year. Raahgiri has always been very special for us. Every performance here gives us a high! I hope it comes back soon.“ Komal Sharma from the same group added, “Yahan aake sab bas enjoy karte hain aur problems bhool jaate hain. We will miss this stage.“
Sheetal Rajput, who later performed with her group from RDS Academy , said, “We wait the whole week for this day and now we will have to wait for two months. The energy of the crowd is amazing and different from any other place's,“ she said.
