This Sunday's Raahgiri Day in Dwarka, supported by the Times of India, saw Raahgirs combine fun and fitness by participating in activities like zumba, yoga and cycling. City-based band, Moksha, started the morning with some soulful music, making Raahgirs hum along to popular Bollywood tunes like Teri Galiyan and Gulaabi Aankhein. The electrifying zumba session by Beats and Fu sion studio saw hundreds of youngsters indulge in the dance-exercise.
Many joggers and those who were out for a morning walk also joined in the yoga and crossfit sessions, some with their canine companions. Pranav, a school student, who tried out the crossfit exercises, said, “I figured since I woke up early today and came here, I might as well try out some light workout. It was a lot of fun.“ A group of cyclists from Dwarka combined Raah giri with their version of Cycling Day and embarked on a 5 km cycling rally . Rahat Hussain, a member of the group, said, “We are a group of 100 cyclists including men, women, and even young children. The idea of this ride was to promote fitness and Raahgiri is the best place to do that.“
